About me

My name is Esmee and I'm 26 years old. I'm a self-taught artist from Utrecht, The Netherlands, who has always been interested in photography, fashion and art. Being creative is a therapy for me. In my paintings you can see progress in technique and quality. However, I can appreciate pieces now more as opposed to when I created them. I think it's important to include everything in my portfolio. It shows growth and acceptance towards expressing my creativity and feelings. It represents where my mind was at that time of creating.

I like to experience different styles of art. My favourite is painting people with oil colours, but I’m also still learning this skill. I’m inspired by people and everything that happens around me. By observing and analysing I translate experiences into paint.
